How to convert EPUB to MOBI on Windows

    Select your EPUB files

    In File Explorer or on the desktop, select one EPUB file or as many as you like. The first time, Filee offers to download Calibre, the free engine it uses for this conversion.

    Hold Ctrl and drag

    Hold Ctrl (or the key you set in Filee) and drag the files. A donut of formats opens at the cursor. Prefer menus? Right-click and choose Convert with Filee.

    Drop on MOBI

    Release the files over MOBI. A progress ring counts up, and each MOBI file is saved next to its original.

What Filee does for EPUB → MOBI

Writing MOBI and AZW3 is done by Calibre, the well-known e-book toolkit. Current Kindles also accept EPUB through Send to Kindle, so MOBI is mainly useful for older Kindle devices and apps.

  • Uses Calibre, a free optional engine that Filee downloads once into its own folder. Programs installed on your PC are never used.
  • Works with DRM-free books only.
  • Batch: one file or hundreds, converted in parallel; a failure never stops the rest.
  • Private: files are converted on your PC and never uploaded, even without internet.
  • Saved next to the original, or in a folder and with a file name pattern you choose.
