WEBP
WebP image
WebP is Google's image format for the web. It supports lossy and lossless compression and transparency and is usually smaller than JPG or PNG, but some editors and upload forms still don't accept it.
Extensions: .webp
Convert WEBP files to PNG on Windows 10 and 11: free, offline and in batches. Drag the files onto PNG in Filee's format donut and the PNG files appear next to the originals.
In File Explorer or on the desktop, select one WEBP file or as many as you like.
Hold Ctrl (or the key you set in Filee) and drag the files. A donut of formats opens at the cursor. Prefer menus? Right-click and choose Convert with Filee.
Release the files over PNG. A progress ring counts up, and each PNG file is saved next to its original.
Images saved from websites are often WebP. Converting to PNG keeps the full quality and any transparency, so the result works in every editor, slide deck and document.
