AVIF is a modern image format based on the AV1 video codec. It compresses better than JPG and WebP, but support in older software and devices is still limited.

How to convert AVIF to JPG on Windows

Select your AVIF files
In File Explorer or on the desktop, select one AVIF file or as many as you like.

Hold Ctrl and drag
Hold Ctrl (or the key you set in Filee) and drag the files. A donut of formats opens at the cursor. Prefer menus? Right-click and choose Convert with Filee.

Release the files over JPG. A progress ring counts up, and each JPG file is saved next to its original.
