How to convert 7Z to ZIP on Windows

    Select your 7Z files

    In File Explorer or on the desktop, select one 7Z file or as many as you like.

    Hold Ctrl and drag

    Hold Ctrl (or the key you set in Filee) and drag the files. A donut of formats opens at the cursor. Prefer menus? Right-click and choose Convert with Filee.

    Drop on ZIP

    Release the files over ZIP. A progress ring counts up, and each ZIP file is saved next to its original.

What Filee does for 7Z → ZIP

7Z often compresses better, but ZIP opens on any computer or phone without extra software. Convert when you send an archive to someone who doesn't have 7-Zip.
