RAR is the proprietary archive format of WinRAR, common for downloads split into parts. Recent Windows 11 versions can open RAR but can't create it, and many tools only accept ZIP.

How to convert RAR to ZIP on Windows

Select your RAR files
In File Explorer or on the desktop, select one RAR file or as many as you like.

Hold Ctrl (or the key you set in Filee) and drag the files. A donut of formats opens at the cursor. Prefer menus? Right-click and choose Convert with Filee.

Release the files over ZIP. A progress ring counts up, and each ZIP file is saved next to its original.
