JSON data
JSON is the data format of the web: objects, lists, text and numbers in plain text. APIs, apps and settings files use it everywhere.
Extensions: .json
Convert JSON files to CSV on Windows 10 and 11: free, offline and in batches. Drag the files onto CSV in Filee's format donut and the CSV files appear next to the originals.
In File Explorer or on the desktop, select one JSON file or as many as you like.
Hold Ctrl (or the key you set in Filee) and drag the files. A donut of formats opens at the cursor. Prefer menus? Right-click and choose Convert with Filee.
Release the files over CSV. A progress ring counts up, and each CSV file is saved next to its original.
A JSON list of records becomes a table you can open in Excel: one row per record, one column per key. A wrapper like {"users": […]} is looked through. Data that isn't a table stops with a message instead of a broken file.

CSV is plain text with one table row per line. Every spreadsheet, database and programming language reads it, but it has no formatting, formulas or multiple sheets.
