How to convert OBJ to STL on Windows

Select your OBJ files
In File Explorer or on the desktop, select one OBJ file or as many as you like.

Hold Ctrl and drag
Hold Ctrl (or the key you set in Filee) and drag the files. A donut of formats opens at the cursor. Prefer menus? Right-click and choose Convert with Filee.

Release the files over STL. A progress ring counts up, and each STL file is saved next to its original.
What Filee does for OBJ → STL
Slicers for 3D printers take STL. Faces of any shape are split into triangles, and Y-up becomes Z-up, so an upright model stands on the print bed. STL keeps only the shape, so colours and textures stay in the OBJ.
