PDF document
PDF is the standard for sharing documents that must look the same everywhere. Fonts, layout and images are fixed, and it opens on any device. That also makes PDFs hard to edit.
Extensions: .pdf
Convert PDF files to EPUB on Windows 10 and 11: free, offline and in batches. Drag the files onto EPUB in Filee's format donut and the EPUB files appear next to the originals.
In File Explorer or on the desktop, select one PDF file or as many as you like.
Hold Ctrl (or the key you set in Filee) and drag the files. A donut of formats opens at the cursor. Prefer menus? Right-click and choose Convert with Filee.
Release the files over EPUB. A progress ring counts up, and each EPUB file is saved next to its original.
Filee goes PDF → Word → EPUB on its own, so the text reflows to fit a phone or an e-reader screen. It works best with PDFs that have real text in them. Headings come through as plain paragraphs, and scanned pages have no text to convert.

EPUB e-book
EPUB is the open standard for e-books. Text reflows to fit any screen, and most e-readers and reading apps support it; Kindle accepts EPUB through Send to Kindle.
